During a trip to Scotland and the peaty island of Islay, I was enlightened when I toured a local distillery and saw the barrel storage facility. I was inspired by the barrel shape, its texture, color and effort by so many people enjoying their craft that I wanted to create a chair embodying time, artistry, and collaboration; the very elements that go into creating a fine whiskey.
